Talk and signing with Winnie M Li - Complicit
Tipped to be one of the summer’s blockbuster reads, Winnie M Li's COMPLICIT is 'a sharp and timely look into the dark heart of Hollywood' (ELLE magazine).
When a Hollywood has-been is approached by a journalist about a male producer she once worked with, is this her chance for revenge – or was she complicit in a system that always preyed on women?
Award-winning author Winnie will be in conversation with fellow bestselling author Libby Page, as they discuss the book and its themes of female ambition and male privilege in the workplace, breaking the silence and building community.
They’ll also talk about the writing process and balancing writing with motherhood, followed by a Q&A.
COMPLICIT is Winnie’s second novel. Her previous novel DARK CHAPTER won The Guardian’s Not The Booker Prize and she has appeared on the BBC, Sky News, Channel 4, The Times, and TEDx London. Libby’s debut THE LIDO was a Sunday Times bestseller and she has since written THE 24-HOUR CAFÉ and THE ISLAND HOME. Their books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
There is ample parking at the venue and there will be a licensed bar.
Doors open at 7pm.
